Our bourbon barrel aged maple syrup is a true delicacy for lovers of both maple syrup and fine bourbon. This syrup is made using our highest quality, wood fired, Grade A Dark Amber pure New Hampshire maple syrup, which is then aged for 6-9 months in charred oak barrels that have previously been used to age premium bourbon. Our barrels are sourced from a local distiller in Nashua, NH. The result is a syrup that has a rich, complex flavor that is both sweet and smoky, with hints of vanilla, caramel, and oak. The Plante family has been producing pure New Hampshire maple syrup since 1993 on our small farm in Hinsdale, NH. We make our 100% pure New Hampshire maple syrup the old-fashioned way, with a wood-fired evaporator. This tradition has been handed down for 3 generations. Taught to us by our father Phil Plante, and was handed down to him by our grandfather, Emile Plante in rural Canada.
